Negotiating Skills for Women

Redefining Negotiation to Self-Advocacy, a 90-minute engaged workshop

As women, oftentimes we are so concerned about what people will think about us that it prevents us from asking for what we deserve. Whether it is negotiating a salary or raise, buying a car or home, negotiating an airline ticket refund or negotiating over hospital bills, the skills learned in this session will be skills the participants can apply to all aspects of life. This session is geared specifically toward women, and will focus on inherent barriers we bump into when faced with a negotiation opportunity. We will hear success stories and lessons learned from our presenters. Be prepared to for breakout sessions where you will role play to help you hone in on your negotiation skills.
