SUMMARY:NAWIC November Meeting - Wed. Nov. 11th
DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to close the gap between dreaming and doing?\nAre you doing so much you have lost hope in your dream?\n\n\n\nAre you ready to take back your time and attention? \n \nIn today’s fast paced\, immediate access\, attention economy\, it’s easy to get caught up in everyone else’s agenda and needs. \n \nHuman knowledge once doubled every thousand years. Today\, it’s every twelve hours. No wonder we feel frustrated\, anxious\, and overwhelmed. We’ve been hacked! \n \nA “hack” is when someone or something gains unauthorized access to a computer or a system. Humans get hacked too. It happens millions of times a day. Your focus is the prize—and they’ll hack you to get it. A pandemic election year is possibly the straw that has broken your tolerance for more. \n \nHow can you take back your time\, increase your peace\, and refine your focus? \n \nWhat about your agenda and needs? YOUR dreams\, goals\, and desires? \n \nYou must become Unhackable. \n \nBased on the best selling book\, UNHACKABLE: CLOSE THE GAP BETWEEN DREAMING AND DOING by Kary Oberbrunner\, Daphne V. Smith\, one of Kary’s Top 100 Certified Coaches will teach you how to: \n \n•	Understand the value in the right kind of struggle \n•	Learn to release tension \n•	Achieve a state of flow \n•	Allow recovery in order to rest and rebuild \n \nEvery sustainable advance requires these four phases. With clarity and implementation taking back your time\, energy and attention is possible. \n \n> > > > ABOUT DAPHNE V. SMITH < < < < \nDecades of experience in the corporate world\, wellness industry\, ministerial field\, and direct sales provide Daphne with the ability to identify with a vast range of ages\, experiences\, and types of people. Presently a retreat facilitator\, life coach\, speaker and author of “What’s YOUR Scarlet Letter?”. \n \nChallenging her clients and audiences to grow\, she believes in and lives a life of design instead of default. “When I stop learning\, I stop growing.” \n \nResiding in Northwest Arkansas for over 20 years\, she has experienced growth in both her community and in herself. The oldest of three girls from a highly fun yet dysfunctional environment\, Daphne learned to rise to the occasion early in life. As a wife and mother\, she continues to strive to become the best person she can be. “If I stop and compare myself to someone else\, we both lose. I prefer instead to be the best me possible.” \n \nHer professional credentials and accomplishments include: \n – 3 time car winner with Mary Kay Cosmetics \n – Certifications from: \n – The Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research \n – The American Association of Christian Counselors \n – John Maxwell \n – Wired That Way Personality Assessments \n – And is a Master Level Igniting Souls Coach \n \nDaphne encourages women of all ages to be wave makers by clearing their crap\, embracing who and whose they are\, establishing their own priorities and values\, and equipping themselves to live the life they were uniquely and purposely created to experience. Living this way in turn gives others permission to do the same resulting in a better world for us all. “If you’re still breathin’\, it’s for a reason.”

Porches and storefronts connect to shared sidewalks and paths\, inviting a familiarity that makes neighbors in the truest sense. Parks\, plazas and greens invite impromptu Frisbee tossing and offer comfortable places to gather with friends over a glass of wine. You can unwind from the workday with a bike ride or a walk to nearby shops\, restaurants and welcoming outdoor spaces. It was for active people who actually enjoy getting to know the neighbors. And at the neighborhood’s center is the Square that connects everyone\, creating a wonderful sense of community. \n* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * \n  \nIf someone forwarded this email invitation and you’d like to receive these meeting invitation emails directly and to join the emailing list\, please email Hallie.Bussman@caddell.com.  This step is not necessary if you received the invitation from NWA NAWIC Chapter .

SUMMARY:NAWIC NWA - Breakfast & Blueprints
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a light breakfast and an interactive blueprint workshop led by NAWIC Chapter Members Gail Shepherd & Cori Miller!\n\n\n\nPlease join us (and bring a friend or colleague) for a light breakfast and an interactive blueprint workshop led by fellow NAWIC Chapter Members Gail Shepherd\, Partner with Hight Jackson\, and Cori Miller\, Crossland Construction. This session will be held Tuesday\, February 11th beginning at 7:30am at Hight Jackson’s office in Rogers. \n \n: : Breakfast and Blueprints : : \nGail Shepherd\, Partner with Hight Jackson\nCori Miller\, Crossland Construction\nReading blueprints is now part of your job\, but you didn’t go to school for it and may not be a construction expert like some in your office. When working in the construction industry\, many times your role includes tasks such as take offs for estimates\, writing RFIs\, or discussing construction projects over the phone. This means you need to have some knowledge of how to read blueprints. \nCome gain an understanding of how construction drawings work with Gail Shepherd\, Partner with Hight Jackson\, and Cori Miller\, Crossland Construction\, who will direct an interactive blueprint reading workshop. They will lead a discussion and then groups will work through exercises given by Gail and Cori. Everyone will have an industry expert for a team resource for assistance and questions. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of how to make your way around a set of construction drawings. \n \n____________________________________________________________________________________________ \nIf someone forwarded this email invitation to you and you’d like to receive these meeting invitation emails directly and to join the emailing list\, please email Hallie.Bussman@caddell.com. We will meet at Kimbel Mechanical in Fayetteville and you won’t want to miss our guest speaker! \n \n: : Managing your Inner Critic : : \nhow to stop the rotten-tomato fight in your head\n\nWe all have an internal critic – usually a whole gang of them. And the inner critic holds us back\, stopping us from doing and having what we really want and from being who we really are. Plus\, it has a real talent for making us feel awful about ourselves.\n \n\nIn this program\, participants will learn practical\, immediately applicable ways to get relief from their personal gang of critics – ideas and tools that go beyond traditional self-care advice to “love yourself” and repeat positive affirmations. (Sometimes those work. Other times\, they just make things worse – we will talk about why.)\n \n\n(Note: Inner critic work can be vulnerable and personal. This presentation is structured to honor people’s privacy while giving them simple\, highly effective tools to turn down their inner critic’s volume.)\n \n \n____________________________________________________________________________________________ \nIf someone forwarded this email invitation to you and you’d like to receive these meeting invitation emails directly and to join the emailing list\, please email Hallie.Bussman@caddell.com. SUMMARY:64th NAWIC Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:Start planning to attend the 2019 NAWIC Annual Conference in Atlanta\, GA. This year is one you will not want to miss!  The four-and-a-half day conference is designed for all women in construction.\nThose who plan to register early can take advantage of special “Early bird” registration rates.\nVisit: http://www.nawic.org/nawic/Annual_Conference.asp for more up-to-date infomration regarding hotel accommodations\, conference schedule\, training/certifications to be provided\, and more in-depth information about the conference keynote speakers.\n \n \nThursday Keynote Luncheon:\nBe the Change – Major MJ Hegar\nMajor MJ Hegar reveals how to be a catalyst for change on a large scale\, be it in your career\, at home\, or on a national or global level. When someone tells you that something cannot be done\, she says\, the only way to prove them wrong is to do what they believe to be impossible. Her heroic actions in Afghanistan—when she was shot down on a Medevac mission and was pivotal in rescuing her crew and patients\, and became the second woman in history to earn a Distinguished Flying Cross with Valor Device—changed the perception of women in the military. And\, her historic lawsuit against the Secretary of Defense opened the door for women to participate in ground combat\, a significant step forward for equal rights for women in the military. How did she do it? And what can we learn from her experiences? A magnetic speaker\, she combines harrowing war stories and powerful lessons on social change with practical advice on leadership\, diversity\, teamwork\, and motivation.\nSaturday Keynote Closing Brunch:\nYou Hold the Power – Judaline Cassidy\nJudaline was one of the very first women accepted into Plumbers Local Union 371 Staten Island New York\, and the first woman elected on the Examining Board of Plumbers Local Union No One. With her guidance\, fortitude\, and determination she ushered in the first Women’s Committee within her Union of which she’s the President. She serves on the Advisory Board for the Women’s Building NYC. The change that is required and necessary for women in our industry to grow and succeed already exists. Are you ready to activate the power that’s already in your hands? You will not want to miss our Closing Keynote Brunch Speaker\, Judaline Cassidy. She will share her story and how you\, too\, hold the power to your success!!\n
